Clay Arts Vegas held its first event yesterday! We had the honor of hosting the
Nevada Clay Guild's monthly meeting. Each meeting includes a clay demonstration and this month our resident artist and cofounder
Thom Bumblauskas was the artist chosen to present this month. What better way to show off Thom's talents than to host the Guild's meeting in the studio he is in the process of building! It definitely warmed our hearts to see everyones' reactions to the amazing space and to all the hard work we have put in. Thank you to everyone who came and for all the support.
Thom's demonstration was on the history and process of face jugs. It was fun and incredibly informative! There were a lot of techniques he taught that would be great when doing other figurative work as well.
Thom created CAV's first piece and it is now apart of Clay Arts Vegas's history. We are making history, creating a community, becoming a resource and providing opportunities for people to express themselves and have a creative outlet. Thank you again for being apart of all this and for helping us achieve our dream and we hope we can do the same for you.
