Clay Arts Vegas has partnered with UNLV’s Division of Educational Outreach to offer you the opportunity to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for your participation in the Teacher CEU Credit in Ceramics class.

-What is a CEU? The Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is a standard unit of measure for quantifying continuing adult education and training activities. One CEU equals 10 contact hours of participation in an organized education/training experience under responsible, qualified direction and instruction. The Teacher CEU Credit in Ceramics class qualifies for 3.8 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Why are CEUs important? CEUs are important and valuable because they provide:
1. Present or potential employers with an official record of quantified learning relevant for job maintenance, career advancement or job applications,
2. Documentation to registration boards, certification boards, or professional organizations, and
3. Educational institutions with an official record of learning outside of academic credit bearing educational programs
.

What are the steps to earning CEUs?
1. Register and pay for the CEU service by August 27, 2012. The CEU fee is $35 and can be paid in several ways:
a. With a debit\credit card, online at http://tinyurl.com/CeramicsCEU (PREFERRED METHOD)
b. By check or money order via the CEU Payment Form on the reverse side of this flyer
2. Approximately one week after we receive verification that you successfully completed the workshop, we will mail a Certificate of Completion to you indicating that you have earned 3.8 CEUs for this workshop.
3. You may request an official CEU transcript from the university at any time by calling (702) 895-3394 or via email at edoutreach@unlv.edu.
